2017 Pastoral Council Nominees


TOM BOYLE

Tom has been a member of St. Genevieve Parish for one and a half years and is a collection counter.  He previously belonged to Holy Martyrs Parish where he was a member of the Parish Pastoral Council and a collection counter.  Tom worked for the Commonwealth of PA, Office of Veteran Rehabilitation for 33 years and is now retired.  Currently, he volunteers one day a week with a blind proof reader and two days a week at the Germantown Historical Society.


ED HOBAN

Ed has been a member of St. Genevieve Parish for 33 years.  He is married to Patti and they have three sons, Patrick, Kevin and Michael.  He is a collection counter and a former CYO basketball coach and manager.  Ed works as a Market Development Consultant in the Medical Device industry and supports Patti in her Real Estate business.


TONI JEFFERSON

Toni has been a member of St. Genevieve Parish for three years and is a Lector and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.  She and her husband, George, came to St. Genevieve from St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Mt. Airy when that parish closed.  During her many years at St. Therese, Toni participated in numerous ministries.  She was a member of the Parish Pastoral Council, the Finance Committee and the Stewardship Committee.  Over the years, she was involved in CCD instruction, CYO, RCIA and other parish committees and ministries.


ELEANOR KIRBYSON

Eleanor has been a member of St. Genevieve Parish for 33 years.  She was a team member during the introduction of the RCIA Process and participated in that ministry for many years.  She assisted with both Capital Campaigns, has prepared home cooked meals for Aid for Friends and supports and encourages the music ministry of which her husband, Earl is a member. Eleanor retired in 2012 as the Controller for The Huntingdon Valley Country Club.  During her employment there, she held positions in Accounting, Administration of Investments, Pensions, and Human Resources.  Eleanor notes that she has an ease with people, and is interested, calm and willing to listen.


PAT SOMERS

Pat has been a member of St. Genevieve Parish for 32 years.  She has been an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, a collection counter, taught a PREP class and participates in various Good Samaritan projects especially the school supplies and Christmas drives.  Pat worked in healthcare as a registered nurse and in hospital administration.  She retired within the last year after forty-five years.  She is currently exploring ways to volunteer within her church and community.  Pat notes that as an adult convert, she has taken many initiatives to educate herself further in her faith.

 


JESUS VASQUEZ

Jesus and his wife Katie have been members of St. Genevieve Parish for 13 years. He is an active participant in the Guitar Group Choir.  He has also assisted with several projects for Monsignor Matz and Deacon Conroy.  Jesus has worked as a Software Architect for a Medical Record Software company for the last ten years.   Jesus notes that he looks forward to providing input into the future of our parish.

 


FRAN VIDO

Fran has been a member of St. Genevieve Parish for 45 years.  She is the Director of the Guitar Group, a Cantor and a member of the Liturgy Committee.  She was a PREP teacher for ten years, the Director of the Children’s Choir for three years and active in the two Capital Campaigns. Fran is currently a certified pre-school teacher and she is also a microbiologist and a certified medical technologist.  Fran is an almost lifetime member of the parish and she notes that she has a deep love and concern for the continued growth of St. Genevieve.
