Our St. Gen’s parish family will join in an Evening of Prayer for Life beginning Thursday, January 18 with 7pm Mass, followed by a National Rosary for Life and the start of a 24-hr Vigil for Life in conjunction with the National Prayer Vigil for Life on the eve of the March for Life in Washington D.C. on January 19.
Father Kevin invites you to sign up in the Narthex for an hour of adoration which will begin following Mass and the Rosary, continue through the night and conclude with 8am Mass on January 19. This is our parish’s way of joining over 20,000 pilgrims from across the nation who will gather at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington to pray for an end to abortion and a greater respect for all human life.
Fr. Kevin and our Respect Life committee welcome all to join in this beautiful and solemn evening of prayer for Life.
“A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.” – Pope Saint John Paul II, Evangelium Vitae, no. 100
