Altar Servers

This ministry is for students in the parish in grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 (both from St. Genevieve School and all other schools) who are interested in serving the parish community by assisting the priest at Mass.

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Liturgical celebrations. They serve the parish by proclaiming Sacred Scriptures during Mass and at other services.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve the parish by facilitating the reverent distribution of Holy Communion during Mass and by bringing the Eucharist to the homebound and to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities.

This most important ministry requires training at the Archdiocesan level and commissioning by the pastor at a Sunday Mass.

These volunteers assist in setting up for daily and Sunday Masses and for other liturgies and services.

These volunteers assist in welcoming people coming to Mass, taking up the weekly collection, distributing copies of the parish bulletin and offering help as needed.

Children’s Liturgy Leader

Volunteers help teach the Children’s Liturgy program during a designated Sunday Mass.  Program materials, lesson plans and guidance are provided.  The lessons are scripted and easily implemented.  These volunteers have the opportunity to provide the Parish children with further explanation and discussion of the weekly readings.  Clearances are required.
