The Good Samaritan Society
The Good Samaritan Society gets its name and its mission from the parable of the Good Samaritan. Our mission is to help support the marginalized, beginning with the parish and extending into the surrounding community. We provide food, housing and, fuel assistance to families in the parish who are undergoing hard times. We support Catholic Social Services in their Food Pantry, Thanksgiving Food Distribution, Christmas food & toy project and the summer camp for needy children. Members volunteer at the food kitchens of the Missionaries of Charity and the Catholic Worker House. We have 2 major food drives for Catholic Social Services and have a monthly casserole drive for Catholic Worker House. We also have a diaper drive to benefit local crises pregnancy shelters.

Habitat for Humanity
We have recently begun a young adult outreach ministry that assists Habitat for Humanity in some local projects in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The Respect Life Committee
The Respect Life Committee lives the truth of the Church’s teaching that all life from conception to natural death is entitled to respect and protection. We support pro-life organizations that help pregnant women in crisis. We sponsor educational activities, diaper drives and liturgies for life. We have contributed funds, supplies and person power to assist Mary’s House, Guiding Star Ministries and Legacy of Life Foundation. We sponsor a “Baby Bottle Drive” for Legacy of Life and diaper drives for each of the ministries. We sponsor an “Adopt An Unborn Baby’ program. At the time of the annual “March for Life” we hold a Holy Hour for Life in support of the marchers.
