From Father Carl – December 27, 2020

From Father Carl

Merry Christmas.  We are grateful for your understanding and cooperation with the Christmas Mass ticket process.  How blessed we are to have such a caring Pastoral Team who worked many hours to communicate, organize, produce, distribute tickets, all to provide an appropriate worship environment for our Christmas Masses.  Our music ministry under the direction of Guna produced a beautiful virtual Christmas concert which can still be enjoyed via our YouTube Channel.  Thank you for all the ministers and volunteers who served during the Christmas Masses.

Our Advent Scripture series was well received, and I was enriched by the prayerful discussions we enjoyed.  Just a reminder, the Lectio Divina format we followed is available for daily prayer here:  https://ocarm.org/en/lectio

We are currently considering our faith formation options for mid-January and February leading up to Lent.  We will communicate these opportunities to you after the New Year.

As we prepare for 2021, I want to offer you this Blessing for the Home and the Family:

Heavenly Father, bless this house and all who live here with the peace and the happiness which filled the home of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Nazareth.  Keep one and all in Your loving care, safe from all danger to body and soul.  Amen. (Archdiocese of Philadelphia, 1994)

We/I are only ever a phone call away to assist you, 215-836-2828. Be assured of our prayers and support.

St. Genevieve pray for us.

God bless,

Carl

(Reverend) Carl Janicki

A Glance at the Daily Mass Readings

The octave of Christmas serves as a liturgical reminder – Christmas is a season, much more than just a day.

Each month, Creighton University produces an online calendar with daily reflections from their community members, faculty, and staff.  You can find the calendar here:  https://onlineministries.creighton.edu/CollaborativeMinistry/daily.html
